Silver Lining

Chorus
In the midst of every storm
If your soul will look, will find it.
In the midst of every darkness
There’s always
A silver lining

Verse One
Each and every day, I try to drop some seeds
And give the mind state of the masses what the spirit do need
Some fall up on the fertile and it bears the fruit
Others caught up in the underbrush and take no root
But I was sent for the planting and my aura fertilize
Pruning negative vibes, helping plants stay alive
The vigilant gardener know the weeds do come
Strangle life from the new growth, before it gets sun
I’m setting out the crop, and I be waiting for the locust
If you plan to harvest, you got to maintain focus
Trying to replenish, you go digging in the dirt
Be prepared for the job, ‘cause you got to go to work
Almanac’ll tell you when it’s just the right season
Raising the garden be your right and your reason
I’m know my limitations, can’t speak for you
But my bounty is plentiful and my laborers few.

Verse Two
Sometime the rain flow, the soundtrack tears
But then they’ll be the dry patch, lasting for years
It’s the ebb and the flow and the feast and the famine
Lack of a spiritual approach is just damning
You get those times when the sap don’t rise
But you stay up on the mission, keep your eyes on the prize
Step back and relax, then you contemplate
You realize sometime the land must rejuvenate
Feast don’t come to the ones that’s sleeping
Only the conscious will stand for the reaping
Don’t know ’bout you, I got the scythe and the blade
Turntable needle in the middle of the hay
Been all about the green since day one son
Environmental subliminal, it’s measured in tons
The people need food ‘cause they out there starving
Need a job? There’s a plenty of work, God’s garden.
